Overview

1. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Nationality :

• Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
• For specific posts like Assistant Audit Officer or Junior Statistical Officer:
  • AAO: Degree + preferred qualifications in CA/MBA/Cost & Management Accounting.
  • JSO: Degree with at least 60% in Mathematics at 12th or Statistics as a subject in graduation.

Age Limit

• General age range: 18 to 32 years (depends on post).
• Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories:
  • OBC: +3 years
  • SC/ST: +5 years
  • PwD: +10 years

Must be:

• Citizen of India, or
• Subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or
• Tibetan refugee (arrived before 1st Jan 1962), or
• Person of Indian origin migrated from select countries intending permanent settlement.

Quantitative Aptitude

• Number systems, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, mensuration, data interpretation.

English Comprehension

• Grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, sentence correction, active/passive voice.

Statistics (JSO)

• Measures of central tendency, dispersion, probability, correlation, regression, time-series.

General Studies (Finance & Economics – AAO)

• Finance: Budget, basics of accounting, economics, banking.
• Economics: Indian economy overview, fiscal/monetary policy, economic reforms.

6. Application Process

• Visit the SSC official website (ssc.gov.in).
• Complete the one-time registration.
• Fill out the SSC CGL application form.
• Upload photo, signature, and necessary documents.
• Pay the application fee (₹100 for UR/OBC; free for SC/ST/Female).
• Submit and print confirmation.

• Tier-I (CBT – Qualifying)
